Hi I’m CJ and I am a personal trainer here at Spectrum. I started in the field of strength and conditioning as a high school athlete wanting to improve my strength and power to get an edge in my athletic endeavors. I quickly became obsessed with the weight room and the progress I was seeing from week to week and I decided to devote my life to all things strength and conditioning.
I ended up graduating from Springfield College with a degree in Applied Exercise Science followed by my Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies from Merrimack College in 2018. Along the way I ended up interning at multiple Division 1 Colleges as well as a few private gyms. My journey through the field has allowed me the opportunity to work with a pretty big variety of clients. I have ended up working with everyone from 80 year old retirees, to NFL pros, to High School aged Varsity hopefuls. Regardless of who I work with, I have a passion for doing whatever I can to help that person reach their fitness goals. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) as well as a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC)
I have a passion for the outdoors, lifting heavy things, and martial arts. I live in Fitchburg (yes it’s a far drive) with my wife Elissa, our daughter Oaklyn, our 2 dogs, 2 cats and our turtle. There is a lot of energy in my household.
