I have discovered that I enjoy the challenge of more weight or reps and how I can measure my progress from week to week and month to month. While most YMCA’s say they have personal trainers, what I have found is that someone in the weight room will help you get started on a machine that you feel will give you a good workout. But from then on, you are on your own and no one is watching you to make sure you are in the correct position, or using a safe resistance level.
